That's right, 12 more weeks to gloriously authentic sushi and sashimi sets, quirky sub-cultures, beautiful shrines and gardens, rich Japanese history and cute merchandise in cute packaging. And hopefully snow! :D
I don't really have much to research on anymore because I've completed my itinerary planning for Tokyo about two months ago ha ha ha ha ha can you tell that I am very ghairah..........
First day je dah nak pergi makan BBQ meat tsk tsk tsk dasar PBG
Anyway, we're booking our day trip tickets to Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi by this weekend and then we'll have to wait for the first week of December because that is when sumo tournament tickets will go on sale. Everything else like travel insurance and restaurant reservations can wait till end of this year.
We've stocked up on some items for cold weather recently too; mostly heat packs, thick socks and gloves. Not really sure if we'll need thermal wear or winter boots (we're planning on wearing our regular sneakers) so we'll only decide on that once we're in Tokyo...? Takut membazir pulak if it turns out we can survive without them, especially laki aku yang ada darah keturunan polar bear la kan.
We checked the weather forecast for Tokyo in January and it seems like the temperatures will range between 2° to 10°!!!!! Buat susah susah je kita pergi Jepun during winter, puas hati masuk aisbox je terus.
Just did my itinerary too! But not as detailed as yours cause I will never match your level of rajin-ness. :P I confirm want winter boots cause I'm very ngada2. Haha eh sama la my husband also polar bear!
ReplyDeleteHahaha rajin habis! Dah jumpa winter boots yang you like??? I don't mind checking them out but so far nothing has caught my fancy online so tak seriously considering them (Heard UGGs are good? Tapi tu pun malasnyaaa nak cari kat SG haha)
DeleteHahah will use my old timberland boots but thinking of getting another which my husband disapproves. 😂 Might just get a cheaper one hahah. UGG probably have to buy online but buying shoes online is risky. :/
ReplyDeleteYeah I wouldn't dare beli kasut online! Hope you find one you like soon, yang won't make your husband bising sangat hahaha
DeleteHi there! thermal wear really helps your legs especially. i was in korea during the winter month and Ya Allah, its really cold!! your nose will berair non stop. Do make sure that you are comfy in winter cos if not it will turn off your mood to do anything fun since its too cold.
ReplyDeletehope this helps!! enjoy your tokyo trip! :D
Thanks for the tip! Macam tau je I'm especially worried pasal my legs! Will definitely try to bundle up as much as humanly possible hehe
DeleteI just booked my apartment and checked out blog kau just in case you blog about Tokyo and ada! Yayyyy!
ReplyDeleteRusly pun keturunun bear. Aku dah bilang dia it's gonna be cold but member dengan confidentnya cakap dia boleh tahan. we shall see.
Too bad i won't be able to catch any Sumo matches when we're there cos got no event! boohoo
Macam nak campak Rusly and Saliheen dalam satu igloo!!! Btw we just met a friend who went Tokyo in January before and she said end Jan & Feb lagi sejuk :O So you guys better bundle up enough ok!
DeleteTak leh tengok Sumo matches pun takpe, nanti kita suruh our polar bears organize their own matches in SG hahahaha
I'll probably go get heat packs, thermal wear atau pasang dapur arang dalam badan for me & Nadya. Rusly biarkan dia. aku bogelkan dia kat tengah2 harajuku situ. Hahahahaha
DeleteHAHAHA DIAM LA DAPUR ARANG!
DeleteI wouldn't recommend sneakers, not coz sejuk but nanti licin if the path is icy, esp outdoors. The one and only time I wore sneakers during Korea winter (dah bosan boots), I fell on my butt. Hahaha. So something to consider.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up, babe! I'll take note of the slipperiness!
Deletegyumon is awesome! you'll get lost to go there. ask the locals to help and try to come early around 6pm gitu. kalau tak full house cause the shop kecik gila
ReplyDeleteSo I've heard! That is awesome, and that is susah nak cari haha. Thanks for the tip, I'll try to arrive at the restaurant early then!
